“ This place was super crowded but the service was quite fast. The food tasted good but nothing special. I ordered nasi lemak and was shocked by how tiny the portion was, but it’s totally fine since the price is cheap. The toast was just average too. I also grabbed a takeaway iced Milo in a plastic bag — so refreshing in the Georgetown heat! ”
“ I just happened to see this cafe. It was after lunch time and no queue at all. The menu is pretty common like the other cafe. The toast and nasi lemak tasted good but definitely not the special one. The best i ordered was their ice coffee. Looked bold but the taste wasn’t that strong, maybe because the evaporated milk they used. The order came fast. Reasonable price. The staffs were polite. I enjoyed the visit, gracias ~ ”
“ Frankly speaking toast bread and beverages were average. I prefer the steam bread to be thicker. Drinks a little too sweet for me and I don't get enough "Uhm" from their coffee. 4 star on food went to the nasi lemak, the chilli was so good that I ate 2 packets (no worries, very small packet) and the curry puffs - the potatoes filling was juicy and flavourful plus the crust was thoroughly fried. We had a very enjoyable breakfast even though we need to queue for about 30 mins to get seats. Bear in mind that they are located in alley so if you are very concerned over sitting in open space for food, this place may not be suitable for you. Friendly order taker was fast and accurate with our order placement. ”
“ This one at the small alley along the Campbell Street is the original stall. It is very popular (especially for tourists) and we always see people queuing for a table. The charcoal grilled roti baker and the local coffee are very nice. The staff are very efficient. There is another Toh Soon Cafe (its branch) at the Bishop Street which has more space, more choices of food, and with air conditioning. If you do not want to wait, you could go to that stall. ”
“ I came here because many people recommended this place, so I decided to try a few items: the coffee milk tea, kaya toast, and toast with soft-boiled eggs. Everything tasted great! It was my first time trying toast with soft-boiled eggs—I thought the combination would be strange, but it turned out to be surprisingly delicious. The toast was crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the eggs added a rich, creamy texture that paired really well. The kaya toast was also flavorful, with just the right amount of sweetness. And the coffee milk tea was smooth, strong, and not overly sweet—perfect to balance out the meal. Overall, a great experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to try something different and tasty! ”
